The word “lean” in Lean Innovation Excellence means the use of techniques to make an offering cost, time and quality effective from the very start of a project. It is the philosophy that “fire prevention” is far better than “fire fighting.”

The statistics were impressive. More than 6,785 ideas submitted over 12 months with estimated savings of $1.2 million. Employee idea plans are now the rage.
